Tips on Posting Your Vehicle For Sale Online When selling your vehicle online you want to be sure that you highlight the features and the condition of your vehicle. Many times people will shortcut the description of the vehicle or post only one photograph.

(1) Be sure to have at least 5 pictures that clearly show the the full view of the vehicle plus any applicable features that you want to zoom in and highlight. Please see the photo example below:

(2) Be sure to use words that sell your vehicle and call to action in your vehicle description:
"Do not wait another minute...Call today for this family-fun Dodge Grand Caravan with convenient fold-flat seats, a roomy cabin, and fantastic ride and handling characteristics. You do not want to miss it!"

(3) Finally, list all of the features that your vehicle contains. (If you bought your vehicle new and still have your window sticker just copy that information in to the description.)

Internet Classified Scams
When selling a vehicle online or buying from a "for sale by owner", you need to always lookout for possible scams. Please review the information below to keep yourself from losing your money to internet classified scam artists!
  1. Quality recommends that you buy or sell to local Utah residents.
  2. Minimize your risk by having your buyer get financially pre-approved at any Quality Finance Departments.
  3. Do not accept money for anything over the amount you are asking on your ad. Visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advance_fee_fraud
  4. Warnings issued by United States government: The United States Federal Trade Commission has issued a consumer alert about the Nigerian scam. It says: "If you receive an offer via email from someone claiming to need your help getting money out of Nigeria ? or any other country, for that matter ? forward it to the FTC at spam@uce.gov."
The United States Department of the Treasury maintains an email address to which the public may send 419 related documents when they have incurred no financial loss. These emails are archived to assist in future investigations. When reporting emails to this address, include the full email headers. Because of the volume of emails received, do not expect a reply. Send to 419.fcd@usss.treas.gov. If there is a financial loss, file a Financial Loss complaint form online with the Internet Crime Complaint Center, which is a partnership between the National White Collar Crime Center and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, at http://www.ic3.gov
